General Terms and Conditions Applied for Online Donations on the website www.viatafaraleucemie.md
General information
The website www.viatafaraleucemie.md hosts the online fundraising platform for projects implemented by the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie” (tr."Life without leukemia"), registered in the State Register of Non-Commercial Organizations of the Republic of Moldova with the registration number/IDNO 1011620004380, registered legal address: 50 Dacia Blvd., ap.278, mun. Chisinau, MD-2062, Republic of Moldova.
These terms and Conditions shall be applicable to visitors / donors who have not read it yet. By accessing, browsing and generally using the website www.viatafaraleucemie.md, hereinafter also referred to as "Site", you agree to the General Terms and Conditions of use thereof. Moreover, by using the online donation method, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below, which shall apply exclusively to online donations.
How to donate
a. Donations using the bank card are performed using the E-Commerce service provided by Victoriabank S.A. or using the online payment service provided by PayPal. Donations can be made between 0.00 and 24.00, any day of the week.
b. For donations performed through the E-Commerce service, the user can select the donation amount in MDL from among the proposed options, or enter manually the amount he/she wants to donate.
c. For donations performed through the PayPal service, the user will indicate the amount he/she wants to donate, in EUR or USD. In case of payments via Paypal, the user is directed to the personal Paypal account, where he will make the donation. This donation method can be used by persons in possession of a Paypal account at the time of donation. In order to use this method, the donor may select the amount he wants to donate and that will be withdrawn from the PayPal account.
d. The indicated donation amount represents the net amount that will be donated by the user with no additional fees.
e. The online donation shall be performed according to the following steps:
f. If the transaction was successful, a thank you message will appear on the screen in respect of the donation performed and your additional relevant information for this operation will be provided. You will also receive this information via email.
Security policy
a. Personal information is necessary to ensure correct and efficient processing of your donation. Your personal data are introduced using an SSL encrypted connection. Personal information is not transferred to other third parties, neither by the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie”, nor by Victoriabank S.A. The email address is important as the donation information will be sent to you via email. An incorrect email address slows down the entire donation process. Moreover, the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie” and Victoriabank.S.A. will not be able to contact you and inform you on the status of your donation.
b. How safe is it for me to make online donations? All donations performed from the website vitafaraleucemie.md are traded through the E-Commerce service provided by Victoriabank.S.A. or PayPal. The risks associated with an online payment are the following:
c. If you have chosen to make a donation using your bank card, it is necessary to fill in a form with your card information. For payments with bank cards issued under the Visa and MasterCard logo (Visa / Visa Electron and Mastercard / Maestro), the "3-D Secure" system developed by these organizations is used, which ensures the same level of security for online transactions as compared to those performed at ATM or in the real-time environment at the selling point. "3D Secure" primarily ensures that no information related to your card is transferred or stored, at any time, on our servers or on the servers of BC "Victoriabank" SA, these data being entered directly in Visa and MasterCard systems. In addition, "3D Secure" is a system used to authenticate the identity of cardholders in an electronic environment. The cardholder authentication process is based on the security code, known only by the holder, and is carried out only on Visa or MasterCard servers, as appropriate. The "3D Secure" system allows online purchases or donations with any card issued under a Visa or MasterCard license, including debit and Maestro and Visa Electron electronic cards. Virtual cards issued by these organizations are also accepted.
Online donation methods
You can choose from the following payment methods: bank card payment via E-Commerce or PayPal, bank transfer.
If you have selected the bank card as method of payment, you need to fill in a form with the required details. If the transaction was successful, a thank you message will appear on the screen in respect of the donation performed and your additional relevant information for this operation will be provided. You will also receive this information via email.
The following bank cards are accepted through the E-Commerce service: Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro.
PayPal accepts the following bank cards: Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard / Eurocard, Maestro, including Visa or MasterCard, American Express and Discover virtual cards.
The donation performed using a bank card will be processed immediately.
For donations performed using the payment method by bank transfer, the processing of the order will be accepted only following a confirmation of crediting of the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie” with the amount transferred, thus introducing a delay of 2 to 4 days, as the case may be.
Refund policy
Donations can be refunded to the donors, if they expressly ask for a refund, exclusively for online donations performed with a bank card. In this case, the donors will send within no more than 14 calendar days from the moment the donation was made, a written request to the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie”, in which they will expressly request the refunding of the donated amount. The donor will attach to this request the proof of donation of the indicated amount of money through the website www.viatafaraleucemie.md
The request for the refund of donations will be sent by e-mail, to the address: viatafaraleucemie@gmail.com or by ordinary mail or courier company, to the address: 50 Dacia Bvd., ap.278, mun.Chisinau, MD-2062, Republic of Moldova.
Security of personal data
We acknowledge the importance of security for all personal information associated with our donors and take reasonable measures, based on existing practices in the sector to protects the personal information that is under our control. To protect the information stored in our systems, we have implemented security measures, including encryption technology and firewall.
Data requested by the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie”, BC "Victoriabank" S.A. or PayPal will be used only in the context of facilitating donations to the Association.
No information obtained from the user will be made available to any natural person, legal entity, institution, etc. unless they are duly requested by the authorities entitled to verify commercial transactions or in case the website is abused in either way.
The personal data of the donors will be used by the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie”, BC "Victoriabank" S.A. or PayPal exclusively for the purposes stated above. Information provided in the payment form will be used to send the user a confirmation notice on the donation.
The data filled in by the donors will not be stored on the servers of the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie”, these being collected by the payment processors.
Disputes and conflicts
Any attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site and any attempt of fraud will be reported to the competent authorities.
Any disputes, misunderstandings or claims resulting from or in connection with the donations made will be settled through friendly negotiations. If these negotiations are not successful within 10 calendar days from the date on which the dispute arises, it shall be settled by the competent courts.
The general terms and conditions of use of this Site, as well as the General Terms and Conditions applied for online donations, are fully accepted by the user, the donation deed implying the immediate and total acceptance of the aforementioned terms.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the user fully assumes these risks.
Final provisions
a. The projects initiated and implemented by the Public Association „Viața fără leucemie” may be supported by donations through specialized services for online donations implemented on the website www.viatafaraleucemie.md:

b.The amounts collected by the methods presented above will be affected only by bank fees. The amount of fees may differ depending on the bank where the donation is made / collected. c. All users undertake to comply with applicable laws.

f. If the transaction was successful, a thank you message will appear on the screen in respect of the donation performed and your additional relevant information for this operation will be provided. You will also receive this information via email.
