Help to Hospital
A priority in the activity of the Association is to support the modernization and raising the quality of medical care provided to children with oncological diseases. In that direction, with the help of the financial resources at its disposal, the Association offers the Hematology Department for Children of the Oncological Institute, through philanthropic donations, medical equipment, medicines and consumables and improving the quality of medical services provided to young patients.
- Providing goods for medical use
We contribute to covering the existing needs of adjuvant drugs, medical devices and equipment, consumables and other medical items, necessary in the treatment of hospitalized children. These donations make a significant contribution to the efficiency of medical manipulations applied to hospitalized children and ensure compliance with internationally applied treatment standards.
In the term of 2015 - 2020, through the Association in the section were purchased:
- 6 BBraun infusiomers (appliances for infusion administration),
- 13 BBraun braunostats (stands BBraun for infusions),
- 1 stretcher in the procedure room;
- consumables for infusions (extenders, brans, infusion management systems), syringes for syringomates, lumbar needles, etc., all this are to provide the uninterrupted process of providing medical care to children hospitalized in the Department of Hematology for Children.
- Providing the section with drinking water
Ensuring the Hematology department for children with high quality drinking water is a vital necessity, because children undergoing treatment must be constantly hydrated. As the hospital does not have the possibility to supply drinking water to that branch, this task in the past fell to the parents of the hospitalized children. Thus, the necessary means were given to provide the section with drinking water for a year. In this way, the branch is provided weekly with about 100 liters of drinking water that is available for patients, relatives and medical staff.

Another activity turned to support the section is the installation in the lobby of an information billboard on which is displayed the necessary information for patients and relatives (internal rules, rules issued by the Oncology Institute and authorities, useful information while spending the cure in hospital, etc.).
